Day 1 – Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve
Depart Nairobi after breakfast and travel north through Kenya’s beautiful countryside toward Samburu National Reserve. Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch before enjoying an afternoon game drive searching for unique northern species including Grevy’s zebras, reticulated giraffes, Somali ostriches, and elephants across the reserve’s rugged semi-arid landscapes.
Spend a full day exploring Samburu National Reserve with morning and afternoon game drives along the Ewaso Nyiro River and surrounding wilderness. Depart Lake Nakuru after breakfast and continue your safari adventure toward the world-famous Maasai Mara National Reserve. Arrive at your camp or lodge for lunch before enjoying an afternoon game drive searching for elephants, lions, cheetahs, wildebeests, zebras, and many other incredible wildlife species inhabiting the reserve’s rolling grasslands.
Spend an unforgettable day exploring Maasai Mara with extensive game drives across the reserve’s wildlife-rich plains. Search for the Big Five and observe diverse animal species in their natural habitat while enjoying picnic lunch within the reserve. Experience spectacular scenery, remarkable photography opportunities, and authentic African safari adventures throughout the day.
Enjoy an early morning game drive for final wildlife sightings before breakfast and departure from Maasai Mara. Travel back to Nairobi through scenic countryside landscapes arriving later in the day.
